Overview
I supported the release of "This Wasn’t the Plan (And That’s the Point)", a book focused on career development and non-linear professional paths. While I did not lead the creative direction, I contributed to the book’s visual identity and supporting marketing materials as a designer. I collaborated directly with the author to help communicate and resolve design-related issues with the publisher’s team, and developed supporting material that aligned with the book’s visual identity. This included coaching cards, bookmarks, stickers, and postcards. I also provided feedback on the book cover and other promotional materials.
Problem
The book required cohesive supporting materials that aligned with the illustrator’s work, publisher constraints, and the author’s vision.
Contraints
Creative direction was not mine to define; I had to work within established visuals, publishing requirements, and the authors vision.
Goals
Support the author’s project by creating consistent, high-quality visual assets that strengthen the book’s identity and presence.

Outcome
The final outcome was a cohesive set of supporting materials, including coaching cards, a custom box, and bookmarks, as well as a more refined book cover, stickers, and website. The visuals aligned with the illustrator’s style while reinforcing the book’s tone. These materials were printed, sold and then sent ouy to customers across Europe and the US.
Impact
Expanding the visual system offered 6+ branded touch-points, strengthening market presence beyond the book itself. These added materials thats increased exposure improved the value of pre orders leading more sales, online engagement and kick-starter support. 100+ Books Sold | 100+ Bookmarks. | 30+ Coaching cards
